Hello Jorge,

Hillarious! I always find it a joy to read his work.  I guess it is the teacher or storyteller in me.  I especially enjoy it when I see a child smile or laugh. 

 

I just saw the suggested reading you referenced in one of your visits.  "The Anatomy of Hope." I can't believe I almost didn't see it. It looks interesting and one I'll probably order.  One of my favorite things!

Man, when I was a kid, you had to keypunch your Holerith Cards.  Life was different.  Now, I carry an 8 Gig USB stick.  And punching Holerith cards was even worse in my day (I "inhaled").  Yet I always found myself having compassion for those business majors that had no clue.  So I would give them simple (not at all condescending) advice pointing to the spot where they had strolled away from program functionality.  A computer three times bigger than me and about the same speed as the one I'm typing on.  Bless & curse you Bill Gates.  Nothing worse than handing a novice a double-edged sword (with no hilt).

Even though I am slowly growing older, I will never tire of Dr. Seuss, or rhyming that reminds me of his stories.  After a long absence, I have come back for a moment and had to stop by your space Jorge.  I do hope that everything is going well for you.  THough it does sounds as though it has been. 

I hope that you are enjoying your summer and I will try and be back as soon as I can!

Hi Jorge! I never liked Dr. Seuss when I was a kid but this was cute and I understood every word! Come by my blog to see me in action on my cooking show...singing songs about the food of the day...cooking with my guests...shots of the plates I prepare...dancing in the kitchen. That's my show...lots of good-healthy-creative natural food (I invent my own recipes), interesting discussions about people's inquiries with my Dad (you'll see him on there too)...dancing and lot's of fun! Hope you enjoy it even though it's in Spanish.
